Construction Project Managers

Suncoast Construction & Development is seeking Project Managers (State of Florida) who has full responsibility for the overall management of their construction project(s) including the client relationship, planning and controlling costs, schedules, quality and production. Desired qualifications include a B.S. or B.A. degree in engineering, construction management, operations management or architecture, combined with estimating and scheduling skills.  Note:  Actual field experience can substitute for education requirements. 

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of project management experience preferably with commercial and/or residential construction projects. Must have effective written and verbal communication skills, and proficiency with a scheduling/ project management software program as well as Microsoft Office products. Some of the PM's responsibilities include:

• Functions as Field Manager on a direct-hire construction-only project or as the Field Manager on an engineering/procurement/construction management project.

• Develops project metrics and daily burn rates. Manages site resources and ensures adequate field staffing. Manages SOW by identifying change conditions. Instrumental in developing and adhering to execution plan.

• Developing/maintaining a good relationship with the Owner Team and outstanding customer relations skills.

• Estimating and establishing budgets and contract price

• Reviewing contract conditions and ensuring compliance

• Developing monthly cost reporting

• Negotiating effective subcontractor and material purchases

• Managing project safety

• Creating and maintaining the project schedule

• Managing and leading project meetings

• Managing, training and supervising the project team

• Maintaining quality control

• Managing all job close-out procedures

Successful candidates must:

• Possess a valid driver's license

• Pass a background records check

• Provide current references

• Possess the ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds on a consistent basis

• Practice integrity and professionalism in all aspects of the business

• Have excellent written & oral communication skills

• Be customer service oriented

• Possess the ability to learn & perform multiple tasks in a fast paced team environment

• Demonstrate strong attention to detail

• Demonstrate strong computer skills and aptitude (minimum Microsoft Office)

Outside Sales

Suncoast Construction & Development is seeking Outside Sales professionals (State of Florida) who has full responsibility for the sales cycle and initial management of their construction project(s) including the client relationship, planning and controlling costs, schedules, quality and production.  Previous sales experience with Construction, Aluminum Railing, Cable Railing, Vinyl Railing, Home Remodeling/additions is preferred.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Developing & executing a sales plan in the local territory to meet/exceed sales goals

• Selling industrial & construction supplies business to business

• Conducting cold calls with manufacturing, maintenance, construction, job sites & other industrial accounts

• Maintaining & growing the existing customer base

• Managing account collections for assigned accounts

• Maintaining & growing customer inventory programs
  
  This is an outside sales position. The focus of this position is outside sales, including limited project coordination.
   

Successful candidates must:
